Legal update — October 15, 2026: On October 14, 2026, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration published notice that it will temporarily place 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) and mitragynine pseudoindoxyl in Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act when either exceeds 1 mg per gram of a product, or when the ratio of mitragynine to these compounds is below 100. The order can take effect on or after November 13, 2026 and would last two years. Some concentrated kratom tablets and shots, including products sold as 7-OH, are likely to exceed that threshold. Before buying any product mentioned here, check its batch COA for a 7-OH result under 1 mg/g and a mitragynine-to-7-OH ratio above 100. The FDA had recommended scheduling concentrated 7-OH products in July 2025, and kratom is banned outright in nine states. This review describes products as they were offered in May 2026; it is not an endorsement or legal advice. See the Federal Register notice and our state-by-state legal guide.
About Elyxr
Founded in Los Angeles in October 2020, Elyxr began as a Delta-8 brand and has grown into one of the larger curated alternative wellness retailers in the United States. The catalog currently exceeds 2,000 products across cannabinoids, mushroom-derived compounds, kratom, kava, disposables, edibles, beverages, cartridges, and flower formats. Same-day shipping and a tiered wholesale program reflect an operation built for volume and operational consistency.
Lab Transparency & COA Library
What distinguishes Elyxr’s lab testing approach from many comparable retailers is the scope and organization of its COA library. The lab reports page at elyxr.com/pages/lab-reports is filterable by product type, covering categories from gummies and cartridges to tablets, shots, and topicals.
For kratom-category products, the brand carries only products from trusted industry names, each of which has undergone third-party testing for safety and purity. Buyers unable to locate a specific report can reach the team at shop@elyxr.com. The site carries a full FDA disclaimer and an age-verification gate. To understand how to read a COA, see our Kratom COA Guide.

Elyxr’s breadth requires rigorous curation standards to maintain quality consistency across brands. The filterable COA library indicates those standards are a deliberate part of the brand’s compliance infrastructure. Frequently Asked Questions
What lab testing does Elyxr do?
Elyxr maintains a dedicated, filterable lab reports page at elyxr.com/pages/lab-reports covering all product categories. Each kratom product carried on the platform is backed by third-party testing for safety and purity. Buyers who cannot locate a specific COA can contact shop@elyxr.com directly.
Is kratom legal where I live?
Kratom leaf is not federally scheduled, but nine states ban it outright (Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Vermont and Wisconsin), and concentrated 7-OH products above 1 mg/g are being placed in federal Schedule I from November 13, 2026 at the earliest. See our complete state-by-state legal guide for current details.
What is a COA and why does it matter?
A Certificate of Analysis is a document from an independent laboratory confirming test results for a specific product batch — covering alkaloid content, heavy metals, microbial contamination, and pesticide residues. It is the primary way buyers can independently verify what a product contains. Learn more in our COA reading guide.
