Best CBD Gummies of 2026: COA-Verified Picks, Including for Sleep

The best CBD gummies in 2026 come from brands that publish a batch-matched certificate of analysis (COA) showing CBD per gummy, total THC and contaminant results. On those checks our picks are Green Apex Botanicals and Elyxr from our directory, then Charlotte’s Web, cbdMD and Joy Organics. For sleep, the human evidence for CBD is thin.

This is a transparency ranking, not a taste test. We did not lab-test any product and we do not score effects. We looked at what each brand publishes, then added two things every buyer needs now: what the sleep trials found, and why many full-spectrum gummies are unlikely to fit the federal 0.4 mg total THC per container cap from 11 December 2026.

How we picked these CBD gummy brands

Every brand had to sell CBD gummies and publish lab reports a shopper can open without emailing anyone. We ranked on five points, checked on each brand’s website in October 2026:

  1. Batch-matched COAs found from the lot number on your pack, not a generic report for the line.
  2. Named, accredited labs, ideally ISO/IEC 17025. We note when a brand names none.
  3. Full panels: cannabinoids per gummy, total THC, heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents and microbials.
  4. Clear labelling: spectrum stated, and CBD, THC, CBN or melatonin per serving in milligrams.
  5. No disease claims. A gummy that promises to treat insomnia fails this list.

Certification counted as a bonus. Two brands below, Charlotte’s Web and Medterra, appear on the U.S. Hemp Authority certified companies list.12 Our best CBD brands of 2026 roundup and signs a brand is genuinely third-party tested apply the same standards to other formats.

Verified in our directory

1. Green Apex Botanicals, best for a directory-tracked full-spectrum range

Green Apex Botanicals has made hemp wellness products since 2018, covering full-spectrum CBD oils, topicals and edibles. It says every batch is third-party tested with COAs posted on its website, which is why it sits in our brand directory. Our Green Apex Botanicals CBD oil review covers the oil side of the line.

Because the range leans full spectrum, the December rule matters more here than for isolate brands. Open the COA for your batch and convert total THC to milligrams for the whole container; above 0.4 mg, expect reformulation or withdrawal after 11 December. See the Green Apex Botanicals directory profile or visit greenapexbotanicals.com.

2. Elyxr, best for ratio gummies and a lab-report library

Elyxr is a Los Angeles hemp retailer, founded in October 2020, with more than 2,000 products and a lab-report library that can be filtered by product type, including a Gummies category. Its gummy collection says every batch is third-party tested with a COA available. Read our Elyxr review for the wider catalogue.

Know what you are buying. Elyxr’s CBD gummies are ratio products such as its Delta 9/CBD Gummies, so they contain delta-9 THC and are not plain CBD. The library page does not name a lab, so check the PDF itself. See the Elyxr directory profile or visit elyxr.com.

Industry picks (not in our directory)

These seven brands sell CBD gummies and publish lab reports. We have not verified them in our directory, so treat each entry as a starting point and open the current COA for the exact product and lot before you buy.

3. Charlotte’s Web, best for a THC-free sleep gummy with lot-level COAs

Charlotte’s Web lists certificates by product, pack size and lot number, the layout we want to see. Its Sleep 25 mg THC-Free CBD Gummies use broad-spectrum extract with 3 mg of melatonin per two-gummy serving, and the brand defines THC-free as “non-detectable levels of THC.” It also sells a full-spectrum sleep gummy, so read the label, not the range name. It appears on the U.S. Hemp Authority certified list. COAs are at charlottesweb.com.

4. cbdMD, best for QR and batch-number lookup

cbdMD offers three routes to a report: a label QR code, a five-digit batch number or the product page. It says all batches go to an ISO-accredited laboratory, which it does not name. The COA summary shows CBD, whether THC was detected and pass results for residual solvents, pesticides, heavy metals and biological impurities. Its broad-spectrum sleep gummies list 25 mg CBD, 20 mg CBN and 5 mg melatonin per serving. One wrinkle: the page calls them THC-free while the label warns of hemp-derived THC and a possible positive drug screen, so check the batch COA. Lookup is at cbdmd.com.

5. Joy Organics, best for USDA organic THC-free gummies

Joy Organics describes its Organic THC-Free CBD Gummies as a certified USDA organic product made with broad-spectrum extract and “no detectable THC.” A QR code on the vegan, pectin-based pack links to the batch report, and the labs page lists the panels: 105 pesticides, four heavy metals, six mycotoxins, 13 residual solvents and five microbial contaminants, from ISO-accredited labs that it does not name. Its sleep gummy is full spectrum, with 1 mg of THC and 3 mg of CBN per serving. Reports are at joyorganics.com.

6. Lazarus Naturals, best for a searchable batch archive

Lazarus Naturals has a “Search by Batch Number” tool listing batch, production and best-by dates for each product. It says an accredited third-party lab, unnamed, tests each batch. Its CBD and CBN sleep gummies are full spectrum and list about 1 to 1.5 mg of THC per two-gummy serving, so a single serving already exceeds the forthcoming 0.4 mg per container cap. Results are at lazarusnaturals.com.

7. Cornbread Hemp, best for organic full spectrum with an isolate option

Cornbread Hemp groups lab reports by product type and variant, with each PDF named by batch code. Its CBD Sleep Gummies are described as USDA organic, full spectrum and melatonin-free, using chamomile, lavender and valerian root, with up to 3 mg of THC per gummy depending on strength. The same page lists Isolate CBD Sleep Gummies, the likelier route to compliance after December. No lab is named. See cornbreadhemp.com.

8. Medterra, best for a melatonin-free CBN sleep gummy

Medterra is on the U.S. Hemp Authority certified list. Its Better Sleep TruCBN Gummies are labelled broad spectrum, THC-free and melatonin-free, and its Sleep Tight CBD Gummies are also badged THC-free. The trade-off is documentation: the COA page names no lab, lists no panels and states that products are not tested for herbicides such as glyphosate. COAs are at medterracbd.com.

9. CBDfx, best for a broad-spectrum melatonin gummy

CBDfx says its reports come from independent ISO 17025-certified laboratories, organised by product with around 13 gummy report pages. Its CBD Gummies for Sleep with Melatonin are described as using organic broad-spectrum CBD, but the product page does not explicitly say THC-free, and the reports page does not describe a batch lookup. Reports are at cbdfx.com.

Best CBD gummies for sleep: what the trials actually show

If you are shopping for CBD gummies for sleep, the honest summary is that the evidence for CBD alone is weak and mixed. Our full review, CBD for sleep: what the human trials actually found, goes deeper. The short version:

  • No effect in healthy sleepers. In 27 healthy volunteers, a single 300 mg dose did not change sleep on polysomnography.1
  • Little effect in insomnia. In a 30-person pilot trial, 150 mg nightly for two weeks matched placebo on insomnia severity, sleep onset and wake time, though objective sleep efficiency and wellbeing were better.2
  • Low dose, no placebo. A 1,793-person trial of 15 mg CBD capsules saw improvement in every arm, but had no placebo, and CBD did not beat 5 mg melatonin.3

Many sleep gummies add CBN or melatonin. In 293 poor sleepers, 20 mg of CBN reduced night-time awakenings versus placebo, and adding CBD did not improve on that.4 In 20 adults with insomnia, a single 300 mg CBN dose did not change the primary outcome, wake after sleep onset.5 A company-run CBN trial reported gains comparable to 4 mg melatonin.6 Our CBN vs melatonin comparison covers that evidence. If melatonin is the active, label accuracy matters: an analysis of 25 melatonin gummy brands found contents from 74% to 347% of the labelled amount.7

What changes for CBD gummies on 11 December 2026

The FY2026 appropriations law redefines hemp using total THC (THCA counts) and excludes finished products with more than 0.4 mg of total THC, plus similar-effect cannabinoids, per container. H.R. 6500, signed on 2 September 2026, moved most of that change from 12 November to 11 December 2026. Cannabinoids the plant cannot naturally produce still lose hemp status on 12 November.9,10 Bills to delay, repeal or regulate are pending, but none had passed committee as of 19 October 2026.9

The cap is per container, not per serving. A jar listing 1 mg of THC per serving is over the line after one serving. In an independent analysis of 56 CBD gummy products, 39% contained delta-9 THC and 16% had more than 0.4 mg in a single gummy.8

  • Isolate gummies with THC not detected are the most likely to remain.
  • Broad-spectrum gummies usually pass if THC reads ND or below the limit of quantitation.
  • Full-spectrum gummies, including several sleep formulas above, are likely to be non-compliant unless reformulated.

Separately, the FDA says CBD is excluded from the dietary supplement definition and cannot lawfully be added to food in interstate commerce; Epidiolex is the only FDA-approved CBD drug.11 States set their own rules on top. Our explainer on the 2026 federal hemp THC limit works through the per-container maths, and full spectrum vs broad spectrum vs isolate explains the extract types.

What to check before you buy CBD gummies

  1. Lot match. The lot or batch number on the COA matches your jar.
  2. THC per container. Multiply THC per gummy by the count. After 11 December, anything above 0.4 mg total THC falls outside federal hemp.
  3. Named lab and date, ideally ISO/IEC 17025 accredited.
  4. Every active in milligrams per gummy, not a blend name.
  5. Contaminant panels, not potency alone.
  6. Drug testing. If you are tested, prefer isolate or ND broad spectrum; see can CBD make you fail a drug test.
  7. No treatment claims. “Cures insomnia” is a red flag about the seller.

Our checklist of eight things to check before buying CBD online goes through a COA line by line, and CBD gummies vs CBD oil covers absorption and label accuracy by format.

Are you a CBD brand?

If you make CBD gummies and want to be considered for this list, we assess brands on lab transparency, not ad spend. You can apply to be reviewed and listed or register your brand in our directory. Send current, batch-matched third-party COAs that show total THC per container, and we will take a look. Directory placement is clearly disclosed and never disguised as editorial.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best CBD gummies in 2026?

On lab transparency, our directory picks are Green Apex Botanicals and Elyxr, and the strongest industry picks are Charlotte’s Web, cbdMD and Joy Organics, which publish batch-matched COAs and sell THC-free options. Whatever you choose, the current COA should match your jar, name the lab and show total THC per container.

Do CBD gummies help you sleep?

The evidence is weak. A 300 mg dose did not change sleep in healthy adults, and 150 mg nightly was similar to placebo on most outcomes in a small insomnia trial. A large low-dose trial reported improvement but had no placebo arm. Many sleep gummies add melatonin or CBN, which have their own, separate evidence.

Will full-spectrum CBD gummies still be legal after 11 December 2026?

Most will not fit the new federal hemp definition. It excludes finished products with more than 0.4 mg of total THC per container, and many full-spectrum gummies list 1 mg or more per serving. Isolate and broad-spectrum gummies with THC not detected are more likely to remain. Pending bills could still change the date, and state rules also apply.

Are CBN or melatonin sleep gummies better than CBD alone?

There is some trial evidence that 20 mg of CBN reduced night-time awakenings, and melatonin has its own research base, but no format is proven to treat insomnia. Testing has also found melatonin gummies with 74% to 347% of the labelled amount, so a batch COA listing each active per gummy is essential.

Can CBD gummies make me fail a drug test?

They can if they contain THC. Full-spectrum gummies contain it by design, and an analysis of 56 CBD gummy products found delta-9 THC in 39% of them. If you are tested, choose isolate or broad-spectrum gummies whose COA reports THC as not detected, and remember no product can be guaranteed to pass.
