Why it matters
Delta-10 was effectively “discovered” as a manufacturing artefact: a Californian extraction company found unfamiliar peaks on their distillate chromatograms and traced them to a previously obscure THC isomer. It binds CB1 less strongly than delta-9 and is generally produced via the same CBD-isomerisation route as delta-8.
In practice
Consumer reports characterise delta-10 as alert and uplifting compared to the more sedating delta-8. Stand-alone delta-10 products are uncommon; the compound is more often blended with delta-8 or other hemp-derived cannabinoids.
Common confusion
Delta-10 is sometimes marketed as “sativa-like.” That framing is colloquial — the isomer’s subjective profile is real but the indica/sativa correspondence is rhetorical.
