TB-500
A synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4 — used in research-peptide markets for tissue repair and recovery, often paired with BPC-157.
Why it matters
TB-500 is a 17-amino-acid fragment of thymosin beta-4, an endogenous regulator of actin and cell migration. Animal studies show accelerated healing of skin, muscle, and cardiac tissue. The compound is on the WADA prohibited list for athletes.
In practice
Research protocols typically use 2–5mg twice weekly via subcutaneous injection. The longer half-life (vs BPC-157) supports less frequent dosing.
Common confusion
TB-500 and thymosin beta-4 are not identical — TB-500 is a fragment with overlap to the active site of the full protein.
