Rhodiola Rosea
An adaptogenic herb used for fatigue, stress, and mild depression — particularly studied in workforce burnout contexts.
Why it matters
Rhodiola contains rosavins and salidroside, the standardisation markers. Clinical evidence is strongest for reducing fatigue and improving cognitive performance under stress. The compound modulates HPA axis activity and monoamine systems.
In practice
Typical doses are 200–400mg of a standardised extract daily. Effects can be felt acutely (within hours), unlike most adaptogens. Stimulant interaction is possible.
Common confusion
“Rhodiola is mild” is wrong for some users — the acute effects can be substantial enough to disrupt sleep if dosed late.
