A magazine for a category that didn’t have one.
Alternative Pharm Press was founded in 2020 to do something the alternative-wellness industry had largely failed to do for itself: report on it honestly. We are an editorial publication and brand directory covering six verticals that share a common problem — they are widely used, sparsely regulated, and badly explained: kratom, cannabis, CBD, hemp, nootropics, and research peptides.
What we cover.
We publish long-form reporting, lab-report explainers, and regulatory deep-dives across the six verticals above. Some weeks that means walking through a Certificate of Analysis line by line. Other weeks it means a court filing, a state-legislature bill, or a new study on 7-hydroxymitragynine.
We do not chase trends, and we do not run round-up listicles whose only purpose is to generate affiliate clicks. The brand directory is its own product — clearly labeled, separate from editorial, and built to help readers find vendors who have actually published third-party lab results.
Our standard.
Evidence-led.
Claims about a compound’s effects, dosing, or risk profile must be tied to a citable source — a peer-reviewed paper, regulatory filing, manufacturer’s COA, or an interview on the record.
Harm-reduction first.
We assume our readers will use these compounds whether or not we approve. Our job is to help them do so with fewer surprises — honest dosing context, drug-interaction warnings, no soft-pedaling the risky stuff.
Lab-verified.
No product claim runs in our pages without a corresponding lab report on file. If a brand can’t or won’t supply a recent COA, we don’t write about their product — at least, not favorably.
No paid placements in editorial.
Editorial coverage at Alternative Pharm Press is paywall-free of brand money. We do not accept payment, gifts, trips, or equity in exchange for a story, a ranking, or a kind word. The brand directory accepts paid featured placements and we sell newsletter sponsorships; both are labeled in plain language and walled off from the reporting team.
If you see a piece on this site that recommends a product, no money changed hands to put it there.
